I’m Angelica, nice to meet you!
I was born in Brazil and grew up watching my Mother and Grandmother cook with expertise. Simple food, full of love and flavor.
During college I lived in a student residence with 12 other girls. It was during this time that I started to adventure myself in the kitchen and to create my own flavors. I confess I didn’t like to cook only for myself.
What was really cool was to risk myself on Sunday dinners, where I had to cook and please all the girls at home (not always easy, hehe).
After college I continued to discover myself in the kitchen, but in a different way. In my journeys around the world I visited 15 countries. Going to traditional markets and restaurants was always a must. This way, I could get to know an immensity of ingredients, aromas and flavors.
I took a course on beer harmonization. I got addicted to cooking programs like Master Chef. I moved country three times. Got married and had my own kitchen. Experiences, traditions, flavors, smells and spices, every day I discover myself in love with cooking.
Today I live in Lisbon – Portugal with my husband and since the confinement due to the covid-19 pandemic, I dedicate myself more and more to cooking.

I don’t cook in a professional way, I just love to cook, experiment and take risks without fear. Most of all, I like to share this time with the ones I love. Nothing better than cooking while drinking a good wine, listening to good song, and laughing with friends.
I created this blog to share a little bit of what makes me happy! Here you will find tips to make your kitchen routine easier, recipes to harmonize with wines and beers, food for the weekly work routine.
The main menu of the blog will be food for couples, after all pepper basil is what I do most!
